Issue

You have a PDF file on a CD or DVD that you want to automatically open once the disc is inserted in the optical drive of a Microsoft Windows computer.

Solution

To have a CD/DVD open a PDF automatically once a CD/DVD is inserted into the CD Drive, create a file named 'autorun.inf' and place this file in the root directory of the CD. Add the following lines of text to the file (this assumes the target computer has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed):

ICON=logo.ico
OPEN=\YOUR_FOLDER_PATH_TO\PDF_File_Name.PDF
