Xerox Digipath Document Scan & Makeready Software Reports Unable to Access Document Scanner

Issue

You receive a message while trying to scan from Xerox DigiPath Document Scan & MakeReady Software (v2.1.0.27 and other applicable versions) that it is unable to access the document scanner.

Solution

Particularly in Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system, the scanning ability does not work if the Xerox DigiPath software was not installed in the same User's Profile as when you were trying to scan. To resolve this, switch to the user account that was used when installing the software or, re-install the software under the new user account profile.
