This online form calculates your energy usage and cost of various appliances and electronic devices you use in your home. This form focuses on electric items that are typically major contributor to a household overall energy usage.
To use this form, fill in the quantity you have for each item, the number of hours you typically have the item powered on each day, and the energy usage of the item. The energy usage can be found typically in the product documentation or on a label affixed to the item. If you do not know the energy usage, leave it blank and a default value will be used. Once you have filled out the form, click the Calculate button. A summary of your energy usage and cost will appear below the form.
You will also need to put in the cost per kWh your utility company charges you for the energy and the delivery more accurate result. You can find this cost on your electric bill or by calling your power company. If you do not know your kWh cost, leave this box blank and a default value will be used.
